I love this book and the positive messages it sends to children. You can tell the author is a caring mother to come up with such a movement/story to take away some of the burden of parents always having to say “no you can’t have ANOTHER piece of candy!” This book helps the children learn the lesson in a fun way while receiving the “no you’re not keeping an entire grocery bag full of candy” message lol. It’s something you can make a great tradition out of just like the Elf on the Shelf but at Halloween. My boys love to get right home, sort, make trades, and fill up their bowls for Halle. We picked out special bowls, write notes to Halle, set traps to see if we can catch her (to say hi of course), set up video survellance in hopes she’ll set our motion lights off and we can see her, etc. You won’t go wrong with this book!! Looking forward to the sequel!

A lot more here than just a cute story. I would recommend this to all children.

This is a well written children's book with vivid illustrations about a witch (Halle Weenie) who steals a child's candy so that her own teeth will rot. She notices how upset she makes the little boy so she decides to leave him a gift to make it right. He tells his friends about Halle Weenie and how candy rots their teeth, so soon they too are leaving all their candy out for the rest of the witches to take and in exchange, the witches leave a small gift.
My son loved this story and our local dentist does too!

What a great follow up to Halle Weenie with another great message. I love how the author ties in our military and less fortunate to paint the bigger picture. You can teach multiple life lessons from this series which I think is important. We treat our Halle Weenie tradition the same as our Elves on the Shelf and look forward to it every October. After reading this new sequel each one of my sons is going to write down a few suggestions of places they’d like Halle Weenie to deliver to and why. My one son said heaven because Poppa probably misses getting candy! ❤️ As for my surprise/gift I do different things like leave a cheap kids scary movie from the $5 bin, a new spin toothbrush, or a little item they’ve been wanting. This year I am going to leave directions and supplies for a craft of some kind. May be a Halloween decor item, a fall theme item, or a future Christmas gift!! My point is it’s not like you have to go out and spend a ton on gifts!
